ELDT Completion Records: What Trainees Should Verify Before Testing

A practical check of provider registration, completed curriculum, and electronic reporting before a state appointment.

Verify the provider and curriculum

Confirm that the exact training provider and location are listed for the Class A, Class B, upgrade, or endorsement curriculum you completed.

Ask when completion was reported

Registered providers submit successful completion information electronically. Ask the provider to correct errors before relying on a testing appointment.

Keep state requirements separate

An ELDT record does not replace the CLP, medical qualification, identity documents, waiting period, or state skills-test requirements.

Educational summaries help you prepare, but official FMCSA and state licensing sources remain the authority for current requirements.
